WHO ARE WE?
We are creators.
Since we began in 2004, our mission has been to connect, support and empower women and creative media-makers in the Kansas City production community and advance equity for all in our industry.
We do it by providing education, mentorship and networking opportunities while working to amplify the voices of women.
Our members include women and their allies across film and media — directors, writers, producers, camera operators, art directors, photographers, creative directors, media buyers, actors, editors and more. Some are pros. Some are hobbyists. All are powerhouses.

WIFM KC is a local chapter of Women in Film & Television International and Women in Film and Television U.S.
Founded in the 70s, they are a global and inclusive network of incredible creators, and we’re proud to be part of it.

We’re governed by a Board of Directors made up of women and allies working in film, media, advertising and beyond.

Since we’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, all charitable donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. (It also means we’re here to support our members and serve our community, not line our pockets.)
