The Women in Film + Media Kansas City (WIFMKC) Finishing Fund gives grants to filmmakers working in both short and long formats, in all genres — narrative, documentary, animated and experimental. Particular consideration is given to projects that inspire social change, and/or have a strong female/ gender non-conforming protagonist.

Awards & Prizes

For the 2025 Finishing Fund, we will award no less than one (1) finishing fund that will amount to at least $500. Awardee(s) will be eligible to highlight their project on the WIFMKC website, and have access to include in their credits that they were supported by WIFMKC.

Rules & Terms

To apply for the Finishing Fund, the filmmaker must have completed 90% of principle photography and have a rough cut at the time of the application. Please note that student projects are not eligible to receive Finishing Funds for their film. You must be a member…
