About the event
WIFM KC & KCFFI Pitch-A-Thon Contest
The Women in Film + Media Kansas City (WIFM KC) and Kansas City FilmFest International (KCFFI) Pitch-A-Thon Contest was started to support Midwestern female identifying and gender nonconforming filmmakers, as well as to encourage the creation of strong female and gender nonconforming protagonists. Contest winners will be eligible to receive prizes that support these goals!
Finalists will be selected to pitch their project live in a Pitch-A-Thon Contest at the 2026 KCFFI on September 19, 2026 from 3:30PM-5PM. The contest winners of the Best Pitch and Runner Up (chosen from finalists whose pitches are part of the live Pitch-A-Thon Contest) will be announced at the KCFFI Awards Ceremony on September 19th at 7PM.
